# SaleAssist Whatsapp Feature

**Introduction** - This feature allows your customers to reach out to your team directly through WhatsApp, leveraging its popularity and convenience for real-time interactions.

 **How to operate Whatsapp chat-**

1\. Goto **Leads** -> **Whatsapp**

2. Now, select the lead of the customer to open the chat. **Standard templates can be shared with customer until the customer initiate the chat.**

3. You will be able to chat with the customer only if the customer has initiated the chat. **Once the customer initiates the chat, a window will open to you for 24hr. During this period of time you can chat back with customer.**

4. Once the 24hr passes, again you will be able to share the standard templates only.

**Please note -**

1. The timer will appear in the chat only **when the customer initiates the chat on whatsapp.**
2. **You can not chat with the customer who came via video call/audio call.**
3. You can share the attachments with the customers **during the 24hr period.**
