WhatsApp Onboarding steps

WhatsApp onboarding is for verifying your number for WhatsApp chat and notifications to your customers regarding the scheduled and instant calls with your brand name and logo.

  1. Facebook business verification

If your business is not listed when you attempt to verify it, Facebook may ask you to upload official documents to prove that your business has been registered. These documents must show the legal name of your business and your business's official postal address or phone number. You may also be asked to provide proof of website domain ownership if you choose to receive a verification code at your email address. (make sure the Facebook account is 3 months old to create business page with it.)

Once your documents are uploaded, Facebook team will review the docs and this may take several days to get verified. You can check the verification status in security centre.

Below are the required documents you can submit for business verification

  • Business bank statement

  • Business licence

  • Certificate of incorporation

  • Goods and services tax registration certificate (GST)

  • Permanent account number card (PAN)

  • Shop establishment certificate

  • Udyog Aadhar (UID)

  • Utility bill

  1. Once your Facebook business account is verified, below are the prerequisites to be followed for WhatsApp number onboarding at SaleAssist side :

  • Facebook Business Manager ID - 15-16 digit

  • Please share a fresh number you want to onboard a new business phone number ? Mobile Number (should have capability to receive OTP via SMS or international incoming call and should not have WhatsApp active on it)

  • Display Name for business account

  • Category

  • Brand Logo( Please note that the WhatsApp Business API client scales and crops uploaded profile photos to be a square with a max edge of 640px and max size of 5MB before uploading to our servers. Images with a height or width of less than 192px may cause issues when the resizing occurs, because of this, an image size of 640x640 is recommended.)

  • Email ID (128 characters)

  • About Business (139 characters)

  • Business Description (256 characters)

  • Address (256 characters)

  • Expected Traffic for Business Initiated & User Initiated conversations(TPS)

  • 5 articles link required, social media accounts and other information that show your account represents a well-known business. Paid or Promotional content will not be considered(If green tick on whatsapp please share)
